This would be helpful! https://anarcholab.itch.io/atari-st-standalone
very nice!
merci
I've translated the manual if anyone needs it in English. I'll upload it to the Atari Forum. You're not missing out if you only have pigeon French (like I do!).
Oh merci.
(thinks)
Atari Forum is having a bit of trouble (not sure why) this morning, so I can't log in and get you the link.
Seems it was just my connection that was having issues. The English manual can be found on this AF page.
https://www.atari-forum.com/viewtopic.php?p=487133
I've also added it to Atari Legend. https://www.atarilegend.com/games/hero-fantasy-the-kings-sword
Nice little dungeon crawler, however with very minimalist sound effects. Our German-language review can be found in our recorded livestream starting at 03:17:22. English subtitles are also available. Subscription to our YouTube and Twitch channel is welcome. 🙂
merci
Plays very well, but I'd do something about the beep/beep with each movement ;) This is a good start, I really enjoyed it!!!!
SToS has hacked this out. Check out my thread with the English manual on Atari Forum.
the links to "offgame.org" seem to be working and sound : DMA seems to be a bit misleading lol ...
The .st image provided gives four bombs on a mister fpga but if you load it after you boot the core it works fine so maybe its something in the bootsector or some kind of quirk in the archive there, just fyi , the game works fine but "dma" i expected something else hahah
its ALWAYS nice to see new stuff for the old box, i havent loaded it on my real one yet but im sure you have or else it wouldnt be here.
the .prg works fine on a mister when moved to a hard drive from "stock" and up
i have taken the liberty of
https://janesondergrond.art/dl/mrfpga/hfksmstr.st
creating a disk image that boots (auto) on a mister starting tos1 and up
i'll leave it there for a month you can do with it as you please
thanks for the ST port , hope to see more
I saw problems with "automatic" loading, which is why I didn't do automatic loading. I don't have mister. I'll integrate your link if I have time. Thanks. And look into this autoloading problem.
you're welcome, im not trying to criticize or anything . The autoload can have several causes i suppose, including the TOS version used, normally you would just create a folder named "AUTO" and put your program in it but i notice on my (real) STe it doesnt always work as well for some programs. Im not quite the expert lol. I got a mister some years ago and i use it for most retro gaming because its handy to have all things in a single box and for gaming its usually good enough. For tracking or stuff i think you cant beat the real machine because thats where you get the real sound. I dont do this specific i test this on most new st and c64 games so if its of use please use it. And thanks for making new stuff for the ST !!!
Very nice! I would remove or change the sound when player moves.
Excellent port, mais j'ai toujours le problème de mourir après avoir récupéré la première clé... Trop peu de coeurs en stock et quasiment aucun à chaque combat... L'algorithme m'en veut :D
Nice game!
very good
Maybe you could package your game so it can easily be played on Windows. Here's a tool you can use. https://anarcholab.itch.io/atari-st-standalone
